Broderick here, when I first heard about biohacking it was primarily through internet gurus such as Dave Asprey, the Founder of Buletproof or Ben Greenfield the founder of bengreenfieldfitness.com
Listening to the podcasts done by these gentlemen sparked my curiosity with a new and emerging, field to which I later became involved with selling hyperbaric chambers and other miscellaneous tools and devices; Seeing the positive impact that hyperbaric chambers could have on people for the recovery of brain injuries / concussions as well as the positive impact they had on me in the Peruvian Andes recovering from minor altitude sickness, I got intrigued and thus began my journey into the deep and mysterious world of biohacking.
I quickly learned that ‘biohacking’ was, and primarily is better living through the use of technology. At least, I should say, that is how I & most in the community interpreted this new term. I must say though that through my humble experience, biohacking, is not enough to drastically alter the course of individuals suffering with chronic health problems; Except, maybe in very rare conditions. Thus I have found that better living through technology, while in some cases can be tremendously beneficial to those apply its use, is typically not the answer to their prayers.
You see: Humans evolved without the use of high-technical equipment and thus our highest standard of living is not and should not be relinquished to using technologies as our saviorcertainly not dependent on the latest and greatest technologies. Before I go on, I must state that there most certainly is a use case for PEMF devices for a broken legs and mild hyperbaric chambers (mHBOT) for brain injuries; Or perhaps even a higher pressured one for more chronic conditions such as cancers. I’m just saying that for the most part, humans do not need these technologies in order to live a good, healthy life. They are simply adjunctive therapies, costly ones at that, and in the case of most chronic conditions are simply not warranted because they relinquish our power to an external source, and the highest, truest form of healing comes from an internal source. It is the tapping into the deep intuitive wisdom and knowledge which we all possess deep inside of us. Using it to guide us in our lives to make the highest decisions which would favor our truest state of alignment with our soul’s purpose here on this Earth.
You see, God put us all here on this planet for a reason, and my belief is that it is up to each and every one of us as individuals to become conscious to that reason and realize our dreams in physical form. So often this is challenging, and a deeply intimidating process, but that is only because our Egoic mind, and the neural connections that we have built in our brain associated with this self-identification, would seek to keep us as who were are, thinking that is the ‘safe’ and ‘reasonable’ way to approach the situation. However, if we are to realize our true divinity we must fist step out of our comfort zones and into our heart’s intuitive guidance, leading us on the path of our soul’s journey.
So, what does this have to do with biohacking and health anyways?
Well, the answer is simple, biohacking is, again, the principle of using an external source, in this case man-made technological devices, to provide us with our greatest state of being. And whilst these technologies certainly can provide us with a better state of wellbeing in certain situations and circumstances, they are often over-glorified and thus not to be relied upon when it comes to taking your own health into your hands, and certainly, I should say, in the case of a more chronic conditions. Which for those of you who don’t know, one of my passions is finding the true root of autoimmune conditions and digging out those roots which can cause much anguish for people of all ages and backgrounds... In my experience, this is often emotional as well as physical and mental in nature. And at the top of that structure, is the spirit, ever-present and always guiding us home to our truest version of ourselves. I believe it is our duty to be alignment to our spirit so that we may heal the roots of whatever is going on in our life and lead the highest and best lives we possibly could.
Amen.
